Summer Math+ 2021 - Boston, MA
Instructor: Ryan Dacey
Level: Middle School (6th-8th)
Mr. Ryan Dacey has taught mathematics at Boston College High School for seven years. He has taught classes at various levels such as regular and honors/AP as well as various content domains such as Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus and Statistics (his favorite). Outside of the classroom, Mr. Dacey is a BC High Ski Team coach and he is very involved in many of the student service and retreat opportunities.
This Summer, the Math+ course will focus on Number Theory – the study of integers (e.g., -1, 2, 3). Over the six classes, we will explore different aspects of this critical concept and will learn what Number Theory is and how it relates to computer applications and important topics including cryptography.
NOTE: The course will be hosted via Zoom and will be held on the dates and times below in Eastern Time. As the course is virtual, students do not have to be based in Boston to enroll.
