Spring Math+ 2024 - Brockton, MA

Level: Middle School (6th-8th)
Jack Tully received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Lafayette College. Before teaching, he worked as an engineer on U.S. Navy contracts, and subsequently as a consultant assisting insurance companies evaluate extreme event risk. Jack currently teaches math at Cardinal Spellman High School in Brockton, MA. Outside the classroom Jack is an avid Boston sports fan and enjoys seeking out live music.
This Spring, the Math+ program will be focused on Logic and Proofs. In Mathematics, logic and proofs represent the most rigorous way to ‘solve’ a problem and form the backbone of advanced math. These critical skills have become increasingly tested in standardized exams with ~20% of SAT Math questions testing basic logic.
NOTE: The course will be offered in person at Cardinal Spellman High School. Further details such as safety protocols will be communicated to registrants.
