Mr. Owsley was the previous director of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) initiative at Rockhurst High School where he used to teach AP Calculus II. He was formerly the chair of the Mathematics department for six years. He earned a BA in Mathematics from the University of Rochester, a MAT from Webster University and an MS in Educational Leadership from St. Joseph's University.

This Summer’s course focuses on Applied Number Theory – mathematical applications related to the study of integers (e.g., -1, 2, 3). Key topics include binary numbers, cryptography and computer science.

NOTE: The course will be offered in person at Rockhurst High School. Room location and safety protocols will be communicated to registrants.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to reschedule the course to the following dates.
