Bio:

Mrs. Karen Tata is the Associate Head of School at Marianapolis Preparatory School in Thompson, Connecticut. Over her span of 37 years in education, she has taken on many administrative roles. While doing so, she has remained true to her first calling as a math teacher. She has taught courses from Pre-Algebra through to Calculus with courses at the reinforcement, honors, and advanced placement levels. She is passionate about sharing an appreciation of math with her students and focuses on the value of creativity, inquiry, and exploration. She aspires to help build a strong foundation and confidence in each of her students. In her free time, she loves to cook, watch sports, and enjoy her time with her expanding family of five.

About the course:

This Fall’s course focuses on Probability, a mathematical concept that has both practical relevance and important mathematical applications. The course will teach probability while exploring many real-world applications from finance to decision-making to poker.

NOTE: The course will be offered in person at Marianapolis Preparatory School. Room location and other details will be communicated to registrants.
