Bio:

Janet Osborne received her Bachelor’s degree in Math Education from Mercyhurst College in 2001 and Masters degree in Mathematics from Miami University of Ohio in 2003. She has been teaching at Walsh Jesuit High School since 2006. While here, she has taught Algebra 1, Precalculus, Geometry, Math Analysis, and AP Calculus AB. She has offered dual enrollment courses through both Notre Dame College and St. Louis University. Prior to teaching at Walsh, Janet taught math and science to 6th-8th graders at St. Patrick’s School in West Park, Cleveland.

About the course:

This Fall’s course focuses on Probability, a mathematical concept that has both practical relevance and important mathematical applications. The course will teach probability while exploring many real-world applications from finance to decision-making to poker.

NOTE: The course will be offered in person at Walsh Jesuit High School.
