Bio:

Mr. Owsley was the previous director of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) initiative at Rockhurst High School where he used to teach AP Calculus II. He was formerly the chair of the Mathematics department for six years. He earned a BA in Mathematics from the University of Rochester, a MAT from Webster University and an MS in Educational Leadership from St. Joseph's University.

About the course:

The Math+ program will be focused on Probability, a mathematical concept that has both practical relevance and important mathematical applications. The course will teach probability while exploring many real-world applications from finance to decision-making to poker.

NOTE: The course will be offered in person at Rockhurst High School at Room 121.
